Feeling rough...

Well, I still feel rough, but I do feel better than I did yesterday. I still can't get my computer to free space to download any pictures. I just want to pitch it out the window. Oh well, maybe later when I feel like working with it a little more.

Getting ready for Turkey Day!

So, I have made some changes to my blog - I kinda like it. I was looking to change my header and did everything but that. Go figure. Well I am trying to get my photos to upload to my computer, but they don't want to cooperate. I feel worse today than yesterday - thanks for sharing Jonathan. I do have an antibiotic waiting for me at the Walmart - so hopefully I will be on the mend soon. This is just about as exciting an update as ever, but that is just how it goes when you feel craptastic.

So this first photo is really neat I think. I laid down on my stomach in the living room to try to take some photos of my babies. I was still shooting in black and white from our adventures outdoors. What is it about a cat that will cause them to walk right at you when you are trying to take a photo of them? Anyway, Sasha was a good sport and I like the angle of her photo. I think I did a good job - (patting self on back now).

Taisy was all sacked out under the snowman tree. Her shot has more of the typical cat look - why are you bothering me? I tried to take shots of the other 300 running around with no luck. Even the dog walked over and sat down ON ME when I tried to take her picture. (*&^%%&* animals anyway!
Well, that is the best post you will get from me this evening. My throat hurts and I am going to crawl into bed with all my critters. I have to work tomorrow at the livestock market and even though the office is warm, the sale ring and barn is not. It is 23 degrees right now with a high expected of around 4o tomorrow. Great sore throat weather huh?

I did work on my mo scrap project this evening. It looks pretty good. I only need about 400 more packs of the alphabet stickers to finish it with. I do like the simplicity of my approach on this project. I will try to post photos of what I have so far in the next few days. I may make some of these tiny ones as gifts for the family and Caitlin's friends. By the way, has anyone ever tried to make a brown bag scrapbook - they are fun too. and cheap...

Photos of the fam - Not an easy task

I asked the kids last Friday to come outside so I could snap a few fall shots for my Mo Scrapbook project. Anyone with kids 12 & 14 know that asking the queen for an autograph would be easier. I did manage to get some pictures for my project - it was easier than I thought it would be considering my subjects..... Caitlin was a total butt and refused to take pictures when I asked. She only came outside because Jonathan agreed so easily and then Jeffie came out to get in on the action. This is a really good pose for her - I would like to break her middle finger!!!! I love black and white photography. These pictures that were taken on a whim, in poor weather and light conditions, and for a scrap project, turned out to be some of the better photos I have taken with my camera.

What you don't see in this photo of Jeffie is that he is strumming Jonathan's guitar and pretending to ignore the fact that I am just about 2 feet away from his face. This was totally a spur of the moment shot.

Here is the second shot of the man child after I switched to black and white. This is such a good photo of Jonathan. For a change, he actually didn't mind taking pictures and he was on his fourth day of being sick.

This is a self portrait of us. We held the camera and snapped and it worked on the first try. That isn't too difficult with a point and shoot - but I don't have a point and shoot. I only have seven chins in this one - instead of the usual ten. I also still have on my scrubs from the hospital. Nothing like hugging up to a bale of hay with the one you love.

Well, that is it for this post - it is after 2am and I need to at least pretend to go to bed. By the way, we have at least an inch of snow on the ground - it is so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

I posted again - yeah me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting motivated to post

Well, I am going to try to do better posting. I will try to post at least once a week - (don't hold your breath).

Okay, my blog should be called crazy cat lady instead of mom2everyone. You will probably hear more stories about the cat kids than the human ones. Just today, I threw a wooden snowman under the christmas tree to keep Sasha and Soxie from undecorating the tree, and I accidently bloodied Soxie's nose. Major guilt and a bloody mess under the other tree to clean up. Did throwing it work - NO. Soxie ended up hurt and Sasha just batted the snowman around until I could pick it up and take it away. A little later she had a fabric ball off the other tree batting it around the living room floor. I am so their human!

Today I have spent some time painting ornaments and other "crafty crap" as I call it. It is fun to make my own ornaments and decorations, but I am not always happy with my own work. I try not to be too critical, but sometimes I just don't think things turn out the way I imagined them too. We have been working on our house lately. We are changing out the carpet to laminate and changing all the trims and moldings. It looks so good, but it will take a while. Time and money, if we have one, we don't have the other. Guess which one we have the least of? We, Jeff, my mother, and I have been doing the work. My mom and I have built a lot of homemade decorative items for the house. Just this past week, the three of us built a sofa out of an old door and some wood. It turned out really pretty. I will try to post some pictures to go along with the updates.

Today Caitlin bought the ps2 game Buzz for us to play. It was fun - I won both times!!!!! Even Jonathan played pretty well by just guessing some of the answers. Jeff always acts like he is going to skunk the rest of us and then reality sets in. At least I didn't hear claims that I was cheating to win. I call that progress.

This looks to be a busy week. Jeff is going hunting again. The kids and I have fair board meetings. At least there is no school for them on Tuesday. Work Wednesday and Friday and tons of housework in between. That doesn't even include all the animals that have to be taken care of.

This week should also see the delivery of Mo's scrapbook kit. I am very excited about working on that. Will someone come clean my scrapbook room?

Well, that is it for now - I hope to be back soon!!!
